Grande réserve wines

As the name suggests, these are ‘Grande réserve’ wines…

Late harvest wines come from the same grape varieties as those of the Grands Crus, harvested when they are overripe, frequently several weeks after the official beginning of the harvest season.
In addition to the aromatic character of the grape variety, thanks to the development of Noble Rot (Botrytis Cinerea) and the concentration of sugars in the grapes, this is a powerful wine.

The Sélections de Grains Nobles sare obtained by successive selective picking of grapes infected with Noble Rot. The smaller volume of grapes picked brings the variety’s characteristics to the fore, producing a powerful and complex wine with an exceptionally long finish. These are true masterpieces in the making.
