These wines fulfill a whole range of quality criteria: strict demarcation of the terroirs, smaller yields, specific vineyard cultivation rules, minimum natural ripeness levels, official AOC quality testing tasting.
Alsatian grape varieties grown in the Alsatian AOC area include Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris and Muscat.
